I'm so excited you're here and considering me for your senior portraits!! Your senior year is huge with so many fun and exciting moments. I'm so honored that so many seniors choose me to document some of those moments for them. Now about me...
I laugh too loud and talk with my hands. I will call you Love or Sweets or Love Muffin during your session...go with it. I have 5 cats and one incredibly spoiled French Bulldog named Francois. Photography is one of the great loves of my life along with the ocean, travel, coffee, and beautiful light. Sarcasm is my second language. I love to sing out loud (come on you know you do too!). I will do pretty much anything to get the perfect image (cross rivers in yuck up to my knees, stand in the middle of the road, climb on top of cars). And yes I did in fact go to art school! I have my BFA in photographic imaging. I'm also a bit obsessed with inspirational quotes.

Richmond, VA Senior Portrait Photographer Amber Kay strives to offer you the best senior portrait experience around! Located in downtown RVA Amber Kay serves the greater Richmond area as well as Northern Virginia and all destination locations. Sessions with Amber Kay are unique, fun, and memorable! You'll walk away from your session with a huge smile wanting to do it again the next day.
The AKP Senior Experience starts with your pre-session consultation in the studio where we get to know each other and chat about locations, wardrobe, hair & makeup, & your style. I work with each client to customize their senior portrait experience to fit them perfectly! Natural? Glam? Fashionista? Girl Next Door? Your session will be as unique as you are.
There are 3 sessions for you to choose from! (Read about them below.) For the LUXE and Hallmark session your day starts with professional hair and makeup at the studio to make sure your makeup lasts and that you're looking your very best. Go glam or stay natural...your choice. Once you're camera ready we will head out to start the really fun part! Time to get your model face on & your smile ready. Amber Kay will guide you through effortless posing with lots of laughing, smiles, "smizing", twirls, & serious faces. Perhaps a little dancing and cat-walk walking will be included too.
Two weeks after your session you will come back to the studio for your full gallery reveal and ordering session. Make sure to bring everyone along to see the gorgeous images! Mom, Dad, Grandma, & Grandpa, you name it they're welcome!! At this time Amber Kay will guide you through selecting the right images and products for your needs & desires. See examples of custom designed albums, wall art, graduation announcements, and much more. Your order will be placed at this time and products will be delivered 2-8 weeks following your ordering appointment.

For $550 you'll get a 45 minutes session with 2 outfits + 1 location + 10 fulled edited digital image files. (This is a savings of over $850!!) You'll receive an online gallery of your images to pick your favorite 10. You can add on additional outfits, digital image files, & product for additional cost. You can also choose to add pro hair and makeup.
