Richmond Senior Photographer Snow Portraits
I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of the white stuff myself. It’s cold. It’s really cold. It impedes my plans. It makes driving to the airport and back at 3am a lot more stressful than it needs to be. I’m also not a huge fan of any winter sports. You won’t find me on the slopes instead you’ll find me in the hot tub. But….the snow sure is beautiful when it first comes down! And it makes for a beautiful and different background for portraits.
I reached out to my AKP Senior Squad girls to see if anyone was up for an impromptu shoot. Two lovely ladies from Goochland High School took me up on the offer. So yesterday we braved the cold and made a few really pretty pictures.
This is what AKP Senior Squad is all about!!! And this is one of the many reasons why I love it so much. You get gorgeous pictures and I get gorgeous models. It’s such a win / win situation 🙂
Here are the lovely Shelby and Sarah….and by the way…I’m totally obsessed with this first image!!
Tips for snow portraits- wear warm clothes! Duh. Bright colors (like their scarves) really pop out from the background. And it really is better to have a little cloud cover. Otherwise the snow blindness is almost unbearable and very hard to shoot it and keep your eyes open.
If you’re looking for a Richmond Senior Photographer for yourself or for your son or daughter I’d be happy to speak with you further. Snow portraits are always an option!!
